National TSA:

Dedicated exclusively to students enrolled in engineering & technology education pathway programs. Georgia Technology Student Association (TSA) chapters prepare students to be successful inventors, designers, creative problem solvers, responsible citizens and leaders in a technological society.


Broncos TSA

East Forsyth High School hosts a TSA chapter, comprised of every student who chooses to participate in the Engineering pathway. Students involved in TSA will have the opportunity to compete in 4 major conferences throughout each school year, beginning in October with Technology Day at the Georgia National Fair, and continuing all the way to the National TSA Conference held in June.

State Leadership Conference 2023

March 15-18, students from EFHS’s TSA chapter attended the State Leadership Conference and Competition in Athens, GA. We participated in competitive events against 3,000 students from 185 other schools across GA. The chapter performed well and earned accolades in numerous events:

 

Animatronics: 9th Place- Jackson, Keegan, Ethan, Nessa 

Computer Aided Design- Architecture : 4th Place -Austin

Computer Aided Design- Engineering : 8th Place -DJ 

Electrathon Racing -Lead Acid (Car 506): 2nd Place - Jacob (Driver) + Whole Team

Electrathon Racing- Lithium Class (Car 505): 3rd Place – Matt (Driver) + Whole Team

Senior Solar Sprint: 2nd Place- Joshua and Addison

Transportation Modeling: 9th Place- Dylan and Emilia

Fall Leadership Conference 2022

In November , students travelled to Jekyll Island, for the annual Fall Leadership Conference. The Fall conference was filled with leadership development sessions, competitive events, team building exercises, and fun activities. EFHS members raced 2 different electrathon cars, each placing in the Top 10 in the state. 

Jacob Zarfoss drove car 506 to a 9th place finish in the Lead Acid Battery Class, and DJ Fratt drove the 505 car to an 8th place finish in the Advanced (Lithium) battery class. Both classes are comprised of student built electric vehicles designed to travel the most laps possible in a one hour race.

Technology Day at the GA National Fair: 2022

October 10 2022, TSA students attended Technology Day at the Georgia National Fair in Perry Georgia. Students competed in 9 different events against chapters from across the state, and brought home multiple top 10 finishes. As a result, the East Forsyth TSA Chapter won the overall Superior Chapter Champion. This award is given to the chapter with highest cumulative score from all events of the conference.

Architectural Design: 1st Place- DJ 

Conceptual Design: 5th Place - David, Matthew

Manufacturing Prototype: 7th Place- Dylan

Robotic Rover: 3rd Place


Technology Day at the GA National Fair: 2021

In October of 2021, Students participated in the Technology Day at the Georgia National Fair. This was the first TSA experience for most of the students. Even as a new school and new chapter, the students performed well, and earned awards in a few events.
